Job Description

STARTING SALARY: $19/hr

3rd Shift

Our Equipment Operators enjoy a critical role in a busy Global Distribution Center.  This role requires technical equipment operation skills and a strong safety mindset and ensures our products get to the right customers at the right time, every time.  Our team also enjoys an excellent atmosphere of teamwork that "feels like family" - many of our associates in this role have been with Skechers for many years.

  • Ensures all equipment is in excellent working order.
  • Palletizes Cases
  • Identifies "highs-and-ties" by scanning product; when stacking/staging of product while operating an RF scanning device.
  • Assists with the daily workload plan and set-up utilizing the Spur Report (SPAR)
  • Ensures timely and accurate loading of product on to trailers/containers per customer requirements.
  • Executes the organization and staging of product per customer specifications.
  • Responsible for auditing and staging product by using pull-orders, transports to assigned customer locations on pallets more than 5-feet in height 
  • Performs some trailer dispatching as needed, communicating with drivers to ensure accurate delivery of product to customer.
  • Assists other departments as needed to help the team reach its goals.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in Warehousing/Processing, Material Handling and Equipment Operation or equivalent.
  • Forklift Experience/Certification in Walkie Rider, Pallet Jack, Reach truck, Turret Truck, Cherry Picker
  • Track record of strong job tenure and attendance.
