Job Description

Skechers Digital Group is looking for a Digital Marketing Content Strategist to help grow our eCommerce sales by elevating and grow digital content across our channels, platform, and through rich customer experiences. Working alongside the Digital team and other internal departments to ensure a seamless rollout for new products and initiatives across all digital channels.

The ideal candidate blends UI/UX best practices for email and web content as well as being able to create compelling product marketing stories. This position will be responsible for driving the content calendar for DTC channels and website content. 

Essential Job Results-

  • Works closely with the merchandise team and monitors industry trends to generate product stories for the month
  • Strategically develops the email, SMS, APP push and site content calendar based on compelling content stories and channel best practices
  • Partners with SEO Manager and channel leads to execute plans
  • Manages the briefs and works on executing content development with the creative services group
  • Manages all channels strategy for new Product Launches
  • Works on the analysis of content performance by collaborating closely with the other digital leads and CRM. Reports, analyzes performance and make recommendations for content updates and creation.
  • Write or partner with communications team for marketing copy for all channels
  • Evaluate existing content and content structures, and recommend ways to increase effectiveness
  • Develop strategic content plans based on user insights and marketing objectives
  • Work closely with CRO to optimize the site content

Job Requirements-

  • Experience crafting content and video strategy within a branded environment, whether agency-side or in-brand
  • Experience leading end-to-end content marketing strategy and amplification, from defining the objectives and strategies to defining the core KPI's
  • Reputable digital marketing expertise, with knowledge of SEO, email, mobile messaging, content amplification and full-funnel campaign management
  • Experience with personalized content and audience segmentation, personalization tools experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of HTML and other related Web development technologies
  • Strong track record of leadership and influencing skills in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment, along with being a self-starter
  • Flexibility to deal with unanticipated projects that have tight turnaround times by adjusting schedules for other projects and clearly communicating those changes to stakeholders and teammates
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable ESP preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Specifically Page Designer), Contentful or comparable CMS preferred

Education and Experience- 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field. 
  • 5-7+ years in a content and communications capacity, preferably in retail or e-commerce background
