Job Description

The Inventory Control Lead/Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Inventory at Skechers Distribution centers by assisting in the delegation of the daily workload to Inventory E/Os, running reports of problem areas to fix, resolving inventory issues through research and analysis, training and instructing E/Os, researching and reporting errors made by other departments, entering data gathered by the department, and distributing department reporting to management.  This individual is also responsible for the timely processing of Customer orders by analyzing filter reports, logging issues, resolving issues in the appropriate priority, and locating shortages through proper execution of audit procedures.

  • Review Filter report issues and resolve all issues in appropriate time frame
  • Monitor arrival of “Manual” orders or “Take-Alls” and resolve as soon as possible
  • Communicate issues as necessary to appropriate contacts in other departments corporate office, and management
  • Explain any perpetual inventory issues encountered to Management
  • Ensure that any processing shortages are immediately researched and follow up with appropriate contacts
  • Ensure that all items from the Analyst Checklist (to clear problem areas, problem reports, etc.) are worked correctly and with required frequency
  • Ensure that Cycle Count cycles are being worked in most efficient manner and with required frequency
  • Ensure that Internal audits are being performed correctly, without bias, and with required frequency
  • Research reported discrepancies and complete error reports.
  • Delegate daily workload to EO’s
  • Quickly and accurately enter all data (for example: Performance Sheets, Cycle Count Totals, Error Reports, Internal Accuracy Audit Forms, Filter Report Issues, etc.) into department databases
  • Review department reports generated by data entry to ensure accuracy of keying and data
  • Distribute department reports (via hardcopy or email) to appropriate distribution
  • Learn all EO procedures (for example: Cycle Count, Audit, and Discrepancy Fixing) and assist in training and development EO skills in these areas
  • Learn all advanced fix station options and inquiries required to adequately analyze inventory issues
  • Learn functions of other departments involved in Inventory Movements and how to audit and fix errors
  • Ensure the correct completion by EOs of all required paperwork and reporting
  • Ensure that all problems encountered by EOs are fixed, whether encountered during tasking or incidentally
  • Report any EO conduct or performance issues to Supervisor
  • Report observations of employees violating safety or other procedures
  • Audit locations counted by EOs for accuracy and correctly report findings
  • Perform Cycle Counts on all types of locations as necessary
  • Perform other Inventory Control Duties as necessary
  • Perform other general duties as necessary

Qualifications

  • Proficient computer expertise.
  • Excel proficiency; familiarity with MS Access
  • Sorting through a complex inventory operations dataset
  • Operation of WMS
  • Proficient communicative skills both orally as well as by electronic means.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control.
  • Receiving department experience.
  • Data analyses/research.
  • Identifying and resolving inventory problems based on data analysis
  • Data analyses reporting
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must take the initiative to excel
  • Must possess organizational skills
  • Integrity and good work habits required
  • Must have a positive attitude as well as service oriented
  • Good oral and written communication skills (Bilingual a plus)
  • Ability to follow the directives of Director/Supervisor  
  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism when necessary
  • Must have the willingness and desire to learn
  • Must be able to operate radio frequency equipment (if applicable)
  • Detail oriented
  • Must work safe and professional at all times
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • CAL OSHA certified on a Reach, Order Picker and/or Turret Truck, Pallet Jack equipment according to department specifications
  • Ability to keep the department OSHA Compliant
  • Knowledge of all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to contribute hands on
  • Experience using RF on a WMS system required, PKMS specifically preferred
  • PC, MS Office experience required
  • Good conceptual knowledge of relational database
  • Data Entry (Alpha and Numeric min. 8,000+ key strokes)
  • Typing min. 45 WPM

The pay range for this position is $21.00/hour.
