Job Description
As a member of the SKECHERS USA, Inc. Information Technology team, this role will be responsible for the management and ongoing successful project execution within the SKECHERS Finance organization.  This role will primarily support Finance transformation efforts, both technical and business process, while being a part of a team who serve as project lead, partnering with the business, and other areas within IT, to be the go-to project support for the global finance community. This role is also responsible for identifying ways to make processes more efficient, offering continuous improvement recommendations, project managing the development and delivery of enhancements, and providing support to the finance and accounting teams.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide project management leadership and hands-on project execution
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand, gather, and clarify project scope, objectives, and requirements to create and maintain comprehensive project artifacts (project charters, business cases, BRDs, project plans, resourcing, budgets, process maps, data flow diagrams, etc.)
  • Analyze projects and solutions to ensure they meet business objectives (traceability matrix)
  • Monitor and track project progress and lead communication meetings (status updates, steering committee, etc.)
  • Coordinate resources (internal, contractors, and third-party vendors) for the execution of finance projects which will include both technical implementations and business process reengineering efforts
  • Lead process to identify and resolve issues, minimize risks, and manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and resources (RAID, RACI)
  • Report and escalate obstacles to management as needed 
  • Manage communication and the relationship between key stakeholders, project team members and management (communication plan)
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation (resource plan)
  •  Assist with quality assurance testing and coordination of user-acceptance testing
  • Other duties as assigned

Core Competencies and Requirements

  • Working knowledge of project management techniques (hybrid, waterfall, agile)
  • Previous project management experience in complex Financial Systems implementation projects
  • Project management experience with business process reengineering efforts specific to the Finance and Accounting including training, user adoption & organizational change management
  • Ability to learn new and unfamiliar technologies independently using documentation and online resources
  • Takes personal responsibility to improve processes and systems
  • Ability to conceptualize, formulate, and succinctly convey complex solutions to a wide audience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills using Microsoft Office, MS Projects, Visio/LucidChart, Smartsheets, ServiceNow etc.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
  • Degree or certifications in project management and change management, a plus
  • 8 years of combined experience working with Accounting/Finance departments and Financial Systems technical teams
  • Previous experience implementing a financial system (ex. SAP FI/CO, Oracle Cloud Financials, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Hyperion Planning, EPBCS, Blackline, ARCS, Concur, Coupa, HFM, HTP etc.)
  • Previous experience with accounting and finance processes (ex. Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Record to Report (R2R), including but not limited to AR, AP, Lease, GL, PO, Payments, Planning/Forecasting &  Reporting)
  • 7+ years eComm payments and merchant acquiring experience with a minimum of 3 years managing global accounts in the merchant payments industry from a technical perspective
  • Experience in the retail industry, helpful, but not required

The employee is occasionally required to sit for long period of times.  The employee is regularly required to lift a 35 - 40lb dress form for garment evaluations.
