Job Description

The Key Account Executive for Off Price Apparel will showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills.  Proactively address clients’ needs, move inventory profitably, and facilitate the sale process from beginning to end. Ultimate objectives are to contribute to an increase in profitability, drive revenue, and manage inventory. Please note this is not an entry level position.

Essential Job Results

  • Manage all excess inventory and special programs for the Off-Price market.
  • Manage existing key accounts and identify new potential customers.
  • Negotiate discounts and pricing across a variety of product categories.
  • Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and move inventory.
  • Strategize how to move inventory most profitably at high margin
  • Stay current with new design, trend, and product launches to best present inventory and program opportunities.
  • Partner and liaise across internal divisions (Customer Service and Logistics, Production, Merchandising) to drive sales and margin growth
  • In-season management of business and monthly forecasting of revenue/inventory levels.
  • Develop business strategy by account that details annual growth
  • Facilitate strong working partnerships.
  • Establish product/sales calendar that works with timelines of accounts to the maximize business in a forward-thinking manner.

Job Requirements

  • Experience with national off-price major accounts
  • Experience in product development working on price-driven products.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and follow up skills.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently to run own mini business.
  • Previous activewear experience

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in apparel sales
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel nationally over 50% of work hours
  • Lift and carry samples, sample bags, rolling racks
  • Valid driver license and clear driving record
