Job Description

Contributes to Skechers' success by supporting the Global Concepts design group to create outstanding designs that uphold our company values while crafting Skechers Experience. Your primary mission is to create, innovate, elevate, inspire and execute store design projects. The role encompasses collaboration cross-functionally with various business units, oversight of holistic design process; inclusive of all phases of design from schematic through construction documents and administration; while honoring budget, schedule and operational requirements aligned with strategic business needs. 

Objective:

The pilot position is to learn to design concept/outlet/warehouse store plans, move the plan through the entire process from inception to store opening. Using the tools of Sketch up and AutoCAD. Learn and demonstrate all aspects of-both store design and the development of construction documents.

Measurable Goals:

  • Design and develop store plans that incorporate:
    • Operational standards.
    • Building code requirements
    • ADA requirements.
  • Learn and create plans that incorporate:
    • Correct construction methodology
    • Demonstrate and comply with budget restraints
    • Incorporate all aspects of Skechers business goals and objectives.
  • Pursue design excellence:
    • Lean and observe business objects- through understanding basic retail principals.
    • Learn and observe merchandising principals and objectives.
