Job Description

This is an entry level contract payroll position which consists of entering data into our ADP Enterprise (EV5) payroll system and Kronos time-keeping system. This data consists of, but is not limited to entering new hires, processing terminations, setting up direct deposits, updating W-4 information, processing paycards and status changes and running various audit reports. Provide customer service by responding to employees inquiries and coordinating with District and Regional Sales Managers. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Process payroll records for all employees using computerize systems, supports 500 plus multi-state locations
  • Process manual checks and/or paycards for terminations based on state law time requirements.
  • Process status change forms for employees, including rate changes, store transfers, positions changes and other payroll related items.
  • Input data into Kronos time keeping system when applicable
  • Answer employees questions and troubleshoot issues
  • Facilitate registering employees with ADP Employee Self-Service
  • Responsible for balancing, reviewing, and auditing bi-weekly payroll
  • Make any required changes to employee information such as change of address, W-4 withholding, direct deposit or regular deductions
  • Sort, mailing and distribution of retail payroll checks
  • Helps support other payroll associates as necessary
  • Utilize web-based document archiving system to verify requested information
  • Must comply with all state and federal employment regulations ir: E-Verify, I-9
  • Runs special reports utilizing payroll data for Supervisors upon request.
  • Assist with any special projects as allocated.
  • Flagging employee local taxes in all applicable tax jurisdictions.
  • Integrity of data entry for accuracy.

Job Requirements

  • Data Entry Skills: 6,000 key strokes per hour.
  • Ten Key by touch.
  • Supporting data entry for 8,000 plus employees.
  • Maintains attention to detail while completing multiple or repetitive tasks.
  • Demonstrates a serious commitment to accuracy and quality while meeting goals and deadlines.
  • Can be trusted with extremely confidential and sensitive information.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general or little supervision

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in payroll processing.
  • ADP Enterprise experience or equivalent
  • Kronos Time Keeper experience or equivalent
  • Data Entry
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • SuccessFactors SAP a plus
*Estimated duration of contract- 6  months
