Job Description

Skechers is looking to bring in a Sr. Email Marketing Manager to further develop our existing email marketing program. This position will construct a high-level segmentation strategy and will be responsible for driving sales, engagement, retention and retargeting via CRM, email, push messages and new SMS channel.

This position will supervise a small team who are responsible for developing, executing and analyzing email marketing campaigns. This role acts as the functional expert regarding best practices for all email touchpoints.

Essential Job Results

  • Primary ownership of the email program including revenue, growth and subscriber engagement.
  • Develop and execute owned channel marketing strategies and communications in promotional, transactional, lifecycle, triggered and rewards-focused campaigns to drive growth
  • Scope, develop and oversee CRM marketing strategies across email, push and new text program to meet Marketing KPI goals.
  • Own the calendar across multiple channels, making sure to put the right content in front of the right person at the right time
  • Own weekly channel KPI's (e.g. open rates, CTO, clicks, adds, etc.) and continue to improve channel effectiveness
  • Proactively identify new potential sources of growth as well as action plans for capitalizing on such opportunities
  • Work closely with Internal Team, Retail and Creative Advertising teams to develop comprehensive plans that support brand and business goals
  • Responsible for leading the channel towards real-time, personalized communication and away from mass marketing.
  • Manage all aspects of email planning and segmentation process
  • Oversee all email operations including coding, testing and deployment activities
  • Create relevant reporting and analytics which provide insight into issues and opportunities leading to action.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist in the roll out of re-imagined loyalty program
  • Manage, coach, develop and mentor the email marketing team
  • Other job duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Strong analytical details
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail oriented with strong project management skills
  • Experience working with ExactTarget / Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience or a top-tier ESP
  • Managing CRM platforms (SessionM preferred)
  • Experience managing and developing direct reports to ensure continued growth and success within the organization
  • DMP experience a plus

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce or related field. 
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in email marketing, a background of retail is preferred.
