Job Description

Exposure with the opportunity to learn the major functions of the apparel design team while contributing to the design and development of products through the production creation life cycle. Ensure design related tasks are being properly updated on time, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and motivation.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

  • Maintain all design presentation materials from work board to cads for sales tools. Materials that are used to communicate the seasonal line direction for upper management and executive meetings.
  • Update and distribute Visual Line Sheets, Color Palettes, Outfits, Story Boards as needed.
  • Recolor and update branding for core programs, styles that move from one season or collection to the next.
  • Create cad and presentation materials for Wholesale SMU requests as directed by the designers.
  • Introduction to business operations that support Design and Product Creation by actively interfacing with the PLM system and keeping design information updated and accurate.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

•   In the process of or recently graduated with Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field of Fashion

•   Knowledge of color, textures, human factors and form related to designing excellent products

•   Passion for product

•   Ability to sketch rapidly and effectively casual footwear, Cintiq knowledge is a plus

•   Must be organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines during the same time

•   Must work well with others and take direction willingly to support the team’s efforts at all levels

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a fashion education/background in design preferably. This intern must be able to take direction, accept criticism, is eager to learn while keeping a positive attitude.
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe CS (Heavy Illustrator workload)
