Job Description

To hire and manage the Women’s Street sales team and manage all aspects of sales within your defined account base for your division.  Will work closely with key national accounts and seek out new distribution. Must have product and fashion knowledge within the footwear industry and be able to work closely with product development team to convey feedback and trend information.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

  • To drive sales results in one of Skechers’ smaller, newer divisions.
  • To work closely with the VP of Product Development in Women’s Street to help convey market information back to product development team that will help drive sales.
  • To explore beyond traditional existing accounts for distribution and think outside the box to generate sales for the division.
  • To deliver your annual sales quota.
  • To develop a seasonal/annual business plan (by account) that details growth objectives, category objectives, distribution objectives, and promotional plans.
  • To determine and sell the most effective merchandise mix and prepare stock to sales plans (by month) where appropriate.
  • To attend all trade shows, steering committee meetings, and Buy Meetings as deemed necessary by management.
  • To represent SKECHERS professionally to all accounts within your territory.
  • To work effectively with the brand managers to maximize distribution within your account base.
  • To develop a coverage plan that services your account base and maximizes sales/distribution.
  • To gather and report sell-thru information weekly.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Yes.  Will be responsible for managing/hiring a domestic sales team with experience in the footwear industry.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have strong Sales management skills.
  • Must have good working knowledge/relationships with national key footwear accounts.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and follow up skills.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have solid time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to creatively problem solve 
  • Excellent follow through.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years Sales experience in the footwear or apparel industry.
  • Have some experience in fashion within the footwear or apparel industry and be able to speak to fashion trends.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Travel Required
