Job Description

Job Purpose

To support the Skechers Director of Lease Administration and Real Estate team with various projects.

Essential Job Results

  • Work with the Director of Lease Administration and process monthly rental payments for all retail and corporate locations as well as any filing and/or special projects.
  • Analysis and reconciliation of rent payments and landlord rent statements for payment in Oracle PeopleSoft financial software system.
  • Review, analysis and perform desktop audits of year end statements from landlords regarding Common Area Maintenance, Real Estate Taxes, Utilities and Advertising costs.
  • Assist finance and audit departments with any lease module related questions.
  • Review lease module for the activation of a lease once a new store has opened.
  • Work closely with landlords to resolve any discrepancies and/or outstanding balances.
  • Work with Construction Team to track and recoup tenant allowance reimbursement per the lease.

Job Requirements

  • Working knowledge of retail real estate, with experience in lease accounting and lease auditing.
  • Knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft accounting database and lease module.
  • Working knowledge of the rules of the International Accounting Standard Board (IASB) and the Financial Accounting Board (FASB)
  • Must possess excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent technical/computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and able to type 60+wpm).
  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Positive attitude, sense of urgency self-starter.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • College graduate (4 year degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in lease accounting and auditing.
