Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Skechers Digital Innovation Group (DIG) is seeking a key member to lead software implementation and architecture for our consumer facing ecommerce platform (skechers.com) and various web marketing efforts. You will lead a team of highly skilled engineers while working with product and creative to build best-in-class technology solutions. You will be a dynamic leader that can take ownership over this area helping to take our internal development efforts to the next level.

 
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

Responsibilities

    Lead all aspects of web development, DevOps, and QA for our internal ecommerce platform and other B2C web development efforts (e.g. marketing, tools, etc).
    Drive overall technology roadmaps and strategy related to web development efforts.
    Reinforce and Optimize current Agile SCRUM practices. 
    Mentor high-performing SCRUM development teams.
    Work with IT organization to ensure infrastructure is properly sized and monitored, and required system integrations are performed and optimized.
    Perform technology evaluations in Buy vs. Build scenarios.
    Produce architecture diagrams and documentation to help communicate ideas and solutions.
    Represent the DIG’s technology team to both internal stakeholder and external partners. 
    Provide cost and time estimates as necessary to help inform business decisions.
    Work with Skechers management in ongoing digital transformational efforts.
    Work with and oversee 3rd party partners to integrate our internal systems.
    Serve as the escalation point for engineering issues and on frontend, backend, application architecture, and DevOps.


Key Areas:
    Manage and maintain global eCommerce platform(s)
    Work with retail to ensure site is properly merchandised
    Oversee user experience of eCommerce website and mobile application
    Develop and execute eCommerce feature roadmap against business objectives
    Provide direction to define and optimize site features including information architecture, navigation, site search & browse, product detail pages, marketing integrations, and content. 
    Work closley with marketing to optimize tags, SEM, SEO, and overall site engagement features. 
    Lead team to optimize agile SCRUM process (SDLC)
    Work with multiple 3rd parties vendors to ensure our platform integrations are up to date and optimized. 
    Work with IT on integrations with OMS and web services
    Ensure new features are properly tagged and measured
    Develop international platform strategy
    Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in IT, Retail, Merchandising, and Marketing to drive success.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

    5+ Years experience building and designing Salesforce platform solutions - preferrably around Einstein or Marketing and Commerce Clouds. 
    5+ years experience managing engineering teams
    10+ years end-user application development
    Experience with Sales Force Commerce Cloud (DemandWare) required
    Expert knowledge in modern web technologies (React, Angular, JQuery, Node, Java, Ruby, etc.)
    Passion for entrepreneurship and building great consumer facing software solutions for global audiences
    Strong background in creating premium digital product experiences spanning the entire customer lifecycle including media, marketing and commerce
    Strong background in agile SCRUM management practices and associated tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack, etc.)
    Fundamental understanding of database technologies (MySQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, etc.)
