Job Description

 

JOB PURPOSE

 

The Apparel Field Specialist main responsibility will be to ensure the training of Regional, District Sales Managers, and Store Managers to lead store team members to be Apparel experts focusing on presentation standards, product knowledge, and customer service.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS

 

  • Maximize store performance, visual & brand standards through strategic planning and execution of product launches in partnership with District Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Implement Training Tools to assist Regional and District Sales Managers to lead store teams in effectively managing apparel presentation standards, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Provide in-store training and workshops to enable store managers to confidently execute company visual directives by company deadlines.
  • Steer field compliance of Skechers’ Visual Standards Manual and optimization of tools & resources (i.e., Seasonal Product Information Sheets & Visual Binders).
  • Participate in seasonal flows and new store openings.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Manager, District Sales Manager, and New Store Opening Manager for new store openings; guide visual execution and product training of store team.
  • Build, maintain and leverage cross functional partnerships to ensure consistent message is conveyed through training, company directives and corporate visits.
  • Partner with Director of Stores and Operations manager on all communication to store teams regarding apparel and accessories (i.e., Meeting Agendas, Daily Planners Updates, etc.)
  • Responsible for maintaining awareness of industry trends and communicating Skechers’ opportunities to create store presentations that are relevant and competitive; conduct regular mall walkthroughs to ensure understanding of competition.

JOB REQUIREMMENTS

 

  • Excellent visual merchandising skills & ability to train others.
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Solid written and oral skills
  • Solid computer software application experience.

 

 

EXperience AND OR EDUCATION:

 

  • 2-4 years marketing, merchandising, or retail related background.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
