Job Description

The Systems Trainer is an integral member of the Skechers Retail team and the global growth of the brand. They will lead the systems and functional training for existing and new retail employees. The systems savvy position also requires a driven individual with strong analytical skills who will develop and maintain the Retail Training Manuals. The role is essential in supporting corporate initiatives by performing activities and procedures to ensure system efficiencies are established and maintained. 

Essential Job Results

  • Manage all aspects of system and functional training for retail employees responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Train new employees on retail functions (allocations, merchandising, business intelligence tools (microstrategy & excel etc.).
    • Evaluate new employees to ensure all training goals have been achieved.
    • Identify needs and opportunities to develop training lessons.
    • Administer on going systems training programs for existing corporate employees.
    • Coordinate and facilitate monthly training sessions. 
    • Create and maintain the Retail Training Manual.
  • Develop and process reports as needed by the retail division. 
  • Performs various administrative activities such as report distribution list maintenance and distribution reports.


Additional Responsibilities 

  • Assists in coordinating the processing of testing procedures for new and modified applications and software systems.
  • Recommends and assists implementation of changes in processing procedures.  
  • Ensure all data that is reported is accurate and reliable.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Detail orientated with strong analytical skills. 
  • Experience in compiling and analyzing reports.
  • Ability to handle multiple task, set appropriate priorities, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present and train on technical information in a non-technical fashion.
  • Ability establish and maintain effective working relationships with Skechers management and cross-functional departments. 
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement strategies to improve process flow. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • College degree preferred in Business or IT Related discipline. 
  • Minimum 4 years related Retail Systems experience (Apropos preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience developing custom query based reports (e.g. using Microstrategy, Access, Impromptu, etc)
  • Minimum 2 years Retail Training Experience
  • Strong MS Excel Experience.
