Job Description
•Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, staff, and hospital administration.
•Attend briefings before scheduled patient appointments to obtain information regarding previous operational conditions
•Check the function and cleanliness of tools before use to ensure all tools used comply with standards
•Receive patients using service standards set by the Hospital to ensure consistency of service received by patients
•Carrying out an assessment regarding the condition and complaints of discomfort experienced by the patient in determining a diagnosis to plan the program and actions that will be given to the patient and selecting occupational therapy modalities
•Analyzing integrated information from patient assessment data to determine the suitability of the occupational therapy program programmed by the doctor with the assessment results
•Explain the procedure to be given, the length of time, and the effects of the procedure to the patient to ensure that the patient receives complete initial education
•Carry out the occupational therapy program in accordance with established procedures until completion to ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure
•Educate patients and their families/companions after the procedure regarding home care and schedule the next session to ensure the continuity of the patient's healing process
•Carry out complete documentation of patient files before, during and after procedures as evaluation material to improve subsequent medical rehabilitation services
•Collect required data and/or make reports related to operational activities as accountability to superiors
•Implement procedures and practices for quality and safety services, including attending training, collecting data, documenting and/or making reports needed to support the achievement of hospital wide indicators and related department/unit targets
Qualifications
•Diploma (D3) Degree from Occupational Therapy
•Have minimum 1 years work experience as Occupational Therapist
•Proficiency in occupational therapy techniques and interventions, with a solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and developmental stages.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
•Ability to develop creative solutions to address patients’ functional limitations and challenges.
