Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct facility inspections and process maintenance requests.  
  • Provide quality customer service to all users of the facility.  
  • Supervise and evaluate facilities technicians.   
  • Coordinate with supply chain department to maintain facility supplies, tools and consumable products including chemicals and gases. 
  • Perform maintenance activities as appropriate.  
  • Work with outside vendors, inspectors, and contractors to complete projects as necessary.   
  • Assist with training and development of facility staff.  
  • Lead the Safety efforts by developing and enforcing Safety policies and procedures.  
  • Implement and execute emergency procedures as needed.  
  • Assist with preparation, administration, and evaluation of facility special events.  
  • Monitor security system and check all perimeter, office, mechanical, and storage room doors.  
  • Coordinate construction and renovation projects and provide ongoing communication about such projects to staff.  
  • Perform related duties as required during occasional nonstandard times.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • 10 years of facility maintenance experience or equivalent.
  • Strong background in multiple facets of mechanical, electronic, instrumentation, PLCs and pneumatics   
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling
  • Knowledge of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, water treatment systems, chemical delivery systems, air compressors, process gas distributions systems HVAC systems, etc.
  • HAZWOPER Training, minimum of 24 hrs

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Two-year science or engineering degree or military/technical training
