Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, curious, and proactive Intern to join our Corporate Compliance team at Sika's global headquarters in Baar for a 12 months contract.

As a Corporate Compliance Trainee, you will contribute to projects that promote integrity, ethical business conduct, and a strong speak-up culture across Sika. You will gain practical experience across different areas of a global corporate compliance function. Depending on business needs and ongoing projects, your responsibilities may include:

  • Support international compliance projects and collaborate with colleagues across functions, countries, and cultures.
  • Help develop and improve global initiatives, practical tools, guidance materials, and audit checklists.
  • Contribute to compliance training, awareness initatives, and communication activities for employees worldwide.
  • Research and analyze new regulations, emerging compliance topics, and business trends, and turn your findings into concise briefings or recommendations.
  • Develop practical compliance tools, guidance materials, and audit checklists.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for management.
  • Coordinate project activities from planning to implementation and progress reporting.
  • Take ownership of individual assignments, contribute your ideas, and bring a fresh perspective to the team.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Compliance, Law, Regulatory Affairs, Business Ethics, Governance, or a related field.
  • Strong integrity, sound judgment, and a reliable, responsible working style.
  • Curious and eager to learn, with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Well-organized, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; German and additional languages are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications; interest in digital and AI-enabled tools is a plus.
  • Previous experience through internships, student employment, volunteer work, international exposure, or extracurricular activities is beneficial.
