Job Description

Specification & Design Influence

  • Identify early-stage modular and off-site projects across design and tender phases.

  • Engage architects, engineers, consultants, and developers to secure Sika systems in project specifications, BOQs, and approved schedules.

  • Deliver technical presentations, CPD sessions, and Lunch & Learns tailored to modular, panelised, and hybrid construction.

  • Provide technical guidance on joint design, substrate compatibility, performance validation, and NCC/standards compliance.

  • Manage and convert a robust specification pipeline into secured sales.

Business Development

  • Build key relationships with modular builders, pod manufacturers, and panel fabricators.

  • Introduce and integrate Sika solutions into production-line applications (structural bonding, sealing, waterproofing, and roofing).

  • Partner with Technical Service to identify manufacturing efficiencies, process automation, and optimization opportunities.

  • Drive new business acquisition, grow wallet share across key accounts, and monitor MMC market trends and competitor activity.

Commercial & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Drive revenue growth, material margins, and strategic product mix.

  • Collaborate with internal Sales, Tech Service, R&D, and Marketing teams to transition specifications into firm orders.

  • Assist with commercial proposals, pricing strategies, product trials, and on-site mock-ups.

  • Maintain accurate CRM pipeline tracking, activity logs, and monthly forecasts.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical/commercial field (equivalent industry experience highly regarded).

  • 5+ years in specification sales, business development, or technical product sales within building materials, construction chemicals, or industrial adhesives/sealants.

  • Proven success influencing architects, engineers, and consultants to secure specifications and successfully converting them into project sales.

  • Sound understanding of adhesives, sealants, waterproofing, flooring, or roofing systems and their application in manufacturing or on-site assembly.

  • Outstanding presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the willingness to travel as required.

Preferred

  • Solid working knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), off-site/volumetric modular, panelised systems, or precast manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with industrial manufacturing processes and identifying efficiency/automation improvements.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools and structured pipeline management.
