Job Description
Position Title: Assistant/Deputy Manager– Taxation
Reporting to: Sr. Manager Taxation
Department: Finance
Location: Navi Mumbai (Nerul)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (Inter CA)/Post Graduate qualified person to join our Taxation team.
The candidate will be responsible for handling direct and indirect tax compliances, assisting in tax litigation matters, coordinating with consultants and tax authorities, and ensuring timely statutory compliance. The role offers exposure to Corporate Taxation, GST, TDS, Tax Assessments and Audits.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Tax:
- Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns for companies and other entities.
- Computation of advance tax, self-assessment tax and tax provisions.
- Preparation and filing of TDS/TCS returns and reconciliation with Form 26AS/TRACES.
- Assistance in Tax audits and statutory audits relating to direct tax matters.
- Preparation of replies to notices received from the Income Tax Department.
- Support in Income Tax Assessments, Re-assessment Proceedings, Appeals and litigation.
- Preparation and maintenance of tax reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Coordination with external tax consultants and internal stakeholders.
Indirect Tax (GST)
- Preparation and filing of GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and other applicable returns.
- Monthly reconciliation of GSTR-2B, purchase registers, and electronic credit ledger.
- Verification of GST compliance relating to invoices, e-invoicing, e-way bills, and input tax credit.
- Preparation of GST workings, tax payments, and reconciliation statements.
- Drafting replies to GST notices, summons, and departmental communications.
- Assistance in GST assessments, audits, investigations, appeals, and litigation.
- Monitoring changes in GST laws, notifications, circulars, and judicial pronouncements.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure timely compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for tax matters.
- Support internal teams on tax-related matters and documentation requirements.
- Keep abreast of amendments in tax laws and regulatory developments.
Required Skills
- Working knowledge of the Income-tax Act and GST laws.
- Exposure to tax assessments, audits, notices and litigation.
- Understanding of TDS, Advance tax, GST compliance and return filing.
- Good drafting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work within strict timelines.

- Willingness to learn and take ownership of assignments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
Qualification & Experience:
- Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant (Inter CA) or any Post-Graduate.
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Direct and Indirect taxation (preferred).
