Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Distribution Manager to join our dynamic team in Singapore. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, management, and optimization of our distribution network across multiple channels. You will drive commercial performance, build strong partnerships with distributors and retailers, and ensure our products reach customers efficiently and effectively. - Develop and execute comprehensive distribution strategies across retail and modern trade channels, identifying and cultivating new distribution partnerships in high-potential markets
- Negotiate and formalize commercial agreements with distributors, retailers, and modern trade partners while ensuring optimal product placement and visibility in target outlets
- Establish and monitor sales objectives by zone and channel, analyzing commercial performance metrics including sell-in/sell-out data, market share, and profitability to drive continuous improvement
- Implement promotional initiatives and sales support programs that enhance market penetration and strengthen distributor engagement
- Oversee inventory management across the distribution network, proactively monitoring stock levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations
- Lead and motivate field teams including merchandisers, promoters, and sales representatives, ensuring consistent execution of distribution strategies and brand standards
- Conduct regular performance reviews with distributors and key partners, providing coaching and product training to enhance their effectiveness and market presence
- Collaborate closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, maintaining service quality standards
- Monitor compliance with commercial policies, pricing structures, and discount guidelines across all distribution channels
- Generate detailed weekly and monthly activity reports, tracking key performance indicators such as revenue, margins, geographic coverage, and point-of-sale visibility
- Conduct competitive analysis and market intelligence gathering to identify opportunities for strategic adjustments and innovation in distribution approach
- Participate in sales forecasting and supply planning processes to align inventory with market demand
Qualifications
**Education:**
- Bachelor's degree (3-5 years) in Commerce, Marketing, Distribution, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
**Experience:**
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in distribution management, commercial development, or sales within industrial, construction products, or B2B sectors
- Proven experience managing multi-channel distribution networks (traditional retail and modern trade)
- Demonstrated success in building and developing distributor relationships and expanding distribution networks
- Field-based experience with direct territory and market management
**Technical Skills & Tools:**
- Proficiency with ERP and CRM systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Strong knowledge of negotiation techniques and category management principles
- Expertise in commercial performance analysis and KPI tracking
- Familiarity with logistics operations and supply chain processes
- Ability to develop and interpret sales forecasts and market data
