Job Description

The Human Resources & Administration Manager is responsible for leading and managing all HR, administration, and selected IT‑related support functions for the Sri Lanka operations of a multinational company. The role ensures full compliance with Sri Lankan labor legislation, supports business growth, and fosters an attractive, inclusive, and high‑engagement workplace where employees feel a strong sense of belonging and are enabled to unlock their full potential.

The position also plays a key role in promoting diversity, fairness, respect, a strong safety culture, and effective corporate governance.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in line with Sri Lankan labor laws, company global standards, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, including but not limited to:
    • Shop and Office Employees (Regulation of Employment and Remuneration) Act
    • Termination of Employment of Workmen Act (TEWA)
    • Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) & Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF) requirements
    • Wages Boards Ordinance and related regulations

 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business goals and global HR standards.
  • Promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, ensuring fair treatment, mutual respect, and equal opportunity for all employees.
  • Drive initiatives that foster employee engagement, commitment, and a strong sense of belonging across the organization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations, performance management, disciplinary matters, and organizational development.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field (Master’s degree or HR certification is an advantage).
  • Professional HR qualification (CIPM Sri Lanka, SHRM, or equivalent) is an added advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in HR and Administration, preferably in a multinational or multicultural organization.
  • Hands‑on experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, benefits administration, training coordination, and compliance.
