The Digital Prototyping team is looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering student to join us for a 6–12 month internship.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced engineering technologies while working on real-world challenges that directly impact research, product development, manufacturing support, and innovation.

Within Digital Prototyping, we help transform ideas into tangible solutions by combining engineering expertise with state-of-the-art prototyping technologies.

You will work closely with researchers, engineers, and manufacturing teams on projects ranging from early-stage concepts to production-critical solutions.

Job Description

Your Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing CAD models and assemblies
  • Preparing and operating industrial and professional 3D printing systems
  • Performing 3D scanning and reverse engineering tasks
  • Supporting rapid prototyping projects
  • Creating technical visualizations and demonstrations
  • Supporting manufacturing-related engineering challenges
  • Participating in innovation and product development projects
  • Documenting engineering solutions and best practices

Qualifications

Your Profile

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn
  • Hands-on mindset and passion for building and creating things
  • Basic CAD knowledge (any major CAD platform)
  • Interest in product development, manufacturing technologies, and innovation
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
  • Good communication skills in an international environment


Experience with 3D printing, additive manufacturing, CAD, 3D scanning, VR technologies, or product development is beneficial but not required.
