Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Forklift Material Handler to join our team to coordinates activities of warehouse including shipping and receiving product; ensure compliance with safety, quality and housekeeping standards of the Houston facility.
- Analyze materials required against inbound shipments; communicate shortfalls to supervisor.
- Perform day to day activities of shipping and receiving to achieve On-Time-Shipping goals, pull finished product from inventory, assemble orders and prepare for shipment in accordance with company policy and customer requests in case is needed.
- May select, pack and wrap product to be shipped, verify inbound material including finished product from other locations, raw materials, operating supplies and equipment and transfers to appropriate storage locations.
- Operate forklift to load and unload trucks and transport materials between departments and buildings.
- Count and examine raw materials, supplies, finished product, etc. to verify completeness against appropriate documents; checks for damaged materials; maintains records of shortages, damages and other exceptions.
- Match material against bills of lading, advises supervisor of discrepancies, maintains work location in excellent condition to comply with company policies for safety and housekeeping.
- Participate in Sika Safe program and comply with all safety standards as outlined by Sika’s safety policy
- Verification of orders after been stage and before loading.
- Consolidation of material in the warehouse.
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor and shipping team in controlling the warehouse management, performing scanning and cycle counts, as well as other inventory verifications as required as needed and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor and the team lead.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 4-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment with clerical responsibilities.
- Minimum of one year of experience in forklift operation.
