Job Description
Planning, coordination and realization of investment and development projects in the field of adhesive and sealant production within the global Sika manufacturing network. Ensuring the retention and further development of know-how in adhesives and sealants production within the organization in the coming years. Sharing know-how and global standards across the organization. This Is a global role requiring close collaboration with the local production units as well as regional organizations.
- Coordinating and overseeing multiple projects running in parallel
- Designing and optimizing manufacturing processes (working with Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD)
- Specifying manufacturing equipment (mechanical, electrical, digital)
- Building and expanding theoretical and practical expertise in the field of adhesives and sealants production
- Sharing knowledge and experience with local and regional organizations
- Planning, leading, and executing international projects in accordance with project management standards and PCP guidelines: From equipment specification to start-up
- Defining production standards and ensuring their application in new projects as well as in existing facilities
- Collaborating with R&D teams on the development of new technologies and the introduction of new products with focus on equipment and process parameters
- Organization and supervision of trials at pilot scale
Qualifications
- Competences
- Project management
- Knowledge of mixing, filling and packaging equipment
- Basic understanding of the chemistry of adhesives and sealants
- Hands-on attitude
- Collaboration with different cultures
- Good communication skills
- English and German are essential, knowledge of other languages advantageous
- Willingness to travel (20-30%)
- Education
- Chemical, process or mechanical engineer, preferably Masters Degree
- Experience
- Experience in the chemical or food industry advantageous
