Job Description
We are seeking dynamic and results driven QC Lab Technician to join our Quality Control Riverside team.
- Ensure all Sika Safety, EHS, and ESHQ policies are followed; wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment and immediately report unsafe acts or conditions to supervisor.
- Test raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with Sika QC specifications and report results in a timely manner to all levels of plant management.
- Enter QC data, file QC records, and collect Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for incoming raw materials.
- Maintain formula integrity and create lab batches as required by Research and Development and plant management.
- Track lab equipment calibration and maintain appropriate inventory of lab supplies and chemicals.
- Work as an active QC team member within the Production team, demonstrating ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with sample shipments and coordinate with supervisor as needed.
- Support special projects and corporate initiatives related to safety, efficiency, and quality improvements.
- Perform all other duties as specified by Plant Manager and QC management in accordance with business requirements.
- Demonstrate commitment to learning plant processes and controls as they pertain to overall quality.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or HS diploma with 1-3 years’ experience in overall QC testing and methodology in manufacturing environment.
- Good math and computer skills required, competent with Microsoft Word and Excel software.
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus
- Ability to problem solve required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with little supervision
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.
