Job Description
Night Shift - 4:48PM-5AM (3 workdays week 1, and 4 workdays week 2) - $22.01 starting pay.
- Maintain and monitor the hopper area, ensuring that extruders are loading the correct materials as specified in work orders.
- Reclaim and grind materials from production start-ups and off-spec production for reuse.
- Collaborate with operators to determine appropriate regrind percentages and availability.
- Successfully complete OSHA-approved forklift certification and adhere to all safety guidelines for forklift operation.
- Use software tools such as MII, SAP, and Access to accurately document and track material usage and production activities.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grinders, ensuring materials to be ground are correctly identified.
- Accurately label and store ground materials for future use in designated storage areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by regularly cleaning equipment, extruders, storage areas, and warehouse aisles.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
- Ability to read and interpret fractions; proficient in using a tape measure.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, with the ability to learn other software as needed.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, squatting, lifting, walking, and bending.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
- Experience operating a forklift is beneficial, but training may be provided.
