Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Production Planner to coordinate our manufacturing scheduling efforts at our Brighton, Colorado facility. In this role, you will drive planning, data analysis, assist with recommendations to optimize production processes.

Key responsibilities include coordinating and distributing work activities within the planning team, ensuring on-time delivery in line with manufacturing and shipping schedules. You will play a crucial role in meeting throughput, inventory, and operational targets, directly contributing to the competitiveness and profitability of our operations.

Principle Responsibilies:

  • Responsible for accurately scheduling work orders to support customer delivery requirements based on system lead time, vendor inputs, and knowledge of process times
  • Coordinate with Supervisor to develop production plan and determine workflow requirements
  • Understand and monitor supply inputs to ensure planning corresponds to limitations of external influencers.
  • Understand and communicate customer demands to the site and specifically the production teams to ensure site success.  Also, communicate production plans Master Scheduler to ensure customers are given accurate information on product availability.
  • Ensure production plans and orders lead the production team to success in supporting business needs.
  • Analyze and report process order variances of raw/packaging materials and data inputs.
  • Where applicable, planner will be responsible for coordinating fix efforts on material management issues such as BOM corrections and costing issues in relations to process orders.

  • Train incoming Supervisor on posting and consumption of raw materials.
  • Collaborate with Site Logistics Team to ensure raw material needs are communicated in accordance with material specific lead times by inputting process orders for raw material mixes and pre-mixes, along with correction of BOM for accuracy in inventory.
  • Troubleshoots barriers and provide day-to-day support to the production Operations team.
  • Back up to Logistics & Planning Manager

Compensation Range:  $75,000-$95,000 per year 

Qualifications

  • Education - 2-year degree in business management or 3-5 years’ experience in production scheduling 
  • Minimum of 2+ years of proven experience in finite production planning or SAP- MRP module expertise is preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing/operations, 5+ years is preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of various plant manufacturing functions preferred.
  • People Leadership experience preferred.
  • Critical thinking, decision making, and strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to work with various client groups required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adept at analyzing and reconciling material issues.
