Job Description
The Plant Manager role at our Fibers plant is to provide leadership by demonstrating Character, Competence, and Commitment in all aspects of the business and fostering the same mindset within the facility. Will create a culture of Operational Excellence through continuous improvement initiatives while utilizing the Sika Pillars of Safety, Quality, Supply and Efficiency.
- Achieve annual safety goals through a solid understanding of safety management as well as the ability to convey and enforce safety rules and procedures throughout the manufacturing organization. Continually lead the facility culture to be one that emphasizes the safety of the employees as a core value.
- Oversee day-to-day production activities to ensure smooth and efficient plant operation to meet KPI goals.
- Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
- Identify, recommend, and implement new processes and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and the use of resources and materials.
- Demonstrated ability to team up with the engineering, maintenance, and quality functions including participating in capital planning, preventative maintenance, and problem solving.
- Ensure compliance of plant Quality Control programs in order to meet all Quality objectives such as process reliability, product quality, product standards, and specifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related field preferred
- 5 years of Manufacturing Management experience
- 2 years of working knowledge and experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Ability to prioritize, analyze, and solve problems in order to make informed and quick decisions as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as positivity.
