Salary:

The annual salary for this position ranges from $120,000 - $150,000 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset. 

Summary

The Manager, Sales - Equipment is the leader of a selling team comprised of Regional Sales Consultants. This leader is accountable for achieving the sales and profitability goals. This role provides direction and leadership while responsible for customer satisfaction and market share within the region. 

Essential Functions

  • Provide quality leadership for internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements and inspiring others.
  • Work with the Sr. Director to devise and deploy sales goals, strategic initiatives and objectives across the region, including the preparation of sales quotas and budgets.
  • Achieve the region’s revenue and profitability quotas for defined Signode equipment categories.
  • Establish an environment and foundation for future sales growth, sell and coach others how to sell value and solutions to customers.
  • Direct the selling activities within the team, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions. Prioritizes effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives.
  • Efficiently manage the region’s distribution relationships; work in conjunction with the Senior Management team to ensure attention and growth in the key market segments.
  • Guide the Regional Sales Consultants to manage existing customers and develop new ones.
  • Strongly promotes communication and collaboration within the team and amongst other business and functions.
  • Leads the Regional Sales Consultants, inclusive of managing performance, coaching, mentoring and career development.
  • Responsible for forecasting and sales tracking for Regional Sales Consultants.
  • Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that affect current and future growth of sales and profitability; disseminate information to sales representatives and sales management.
  • Work with the Sr. Director and Proposal Engineering to manage significant opportunity pipelines to guarantee success and regional growth.
  • Provide input – including growth, competitive analysis, market trends and business environment – for strategic planning processes.
  • Responsible for collection of accounts receivable in conjunction with A/R staff to ensure rapid and effective collection.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree require, Engineering or STEM strongly preferred.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience managing and leading sales teams, with a proven track record of coaching, mentoring, and driving team performance.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B industrial technical sales, encompassing business growth strategies, distribution channel development, key account management, and strategic business planning.
  • Excellent grasp of brand building and articulation of value propositions
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Suite products (specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce, D365) is required
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems is a plus
  • Experience in aspects of sales, including growth strategies, account development and business planning
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial practices
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets and P&L
  • 50% travel required
