Job Description

We are in search of a hard-working professional with a competitive spirit to join our team as a Business Development Representative. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for improving student outcomes in education. This role requires a “can-do” attitude, an unwavering customer service orientation, and the ability to overcome obstacles to achieve goals. This role will also gain valuable experience including with our selling process, methodologies, and leading edge marketing automation and sales tools.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities through researching, cold calling, networking, working with our database, and responding to inbound inquiries
  • Qualify all sales leads based upon lead qualification criteria definitions
  • Maintain strong activity levels including outbound emails, calls, meetings, and scheduled demos for Account Executives
  • Have a clear understanding of Signal Vine's platform, features, pricing, and implementation timeline
  • Collaborate with colleagues on selling strategies and marketing information
  • Support demand generation campaigns executed by the Marketing Department
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 0-1 years of Sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to overcome objections
  • Customer service and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Experience working with Salesforce and SalesLoft
  • Successful SaaS sales experience in education technology
  • Demonstrated success in a business development role
