Job Description

Position: The Business Development Representivive is responsible for building, maintaining, and managing a healthy and robust top portion of the sales funnel, and growing into responsibilities that include managing accounts through the full sales funnel and closing opportunities. This is an entry level developmental role with the opportunity for rapid advancement through successful achievement of performance objectives. The person in this role will work in the Alexandria, VA office.

Responsibilities will include …

  • Generate new business opportunities through researching, cold calling and networking within the Higher Education space
  • Qualify new leads though meetings and scoring system
  • Maintain strong sales pipeline activity, including leads, prospects, goals, budget, timeline in Salesforce
  • Have a clear understanding of Signal Vine's platform, features, pricing, and implmenetation timeline
  • Collaborate with colleagues on selling strategies and marketing information
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences

Qualifications

The ideal Business Development Representative candidate has …

  • 0-1 years of Sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Experience working with Salesforce is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Ability to overcome objections and drive sales
  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
  • Must be outgoing and self-motivated
  • Execllent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude
