Job Description
We are in search of a hard-working professional with a competitive spirit to join our Sales team as an Account Executive to lead the development of new accounts in Higher Education. The perfect candidate has superior time management skills, a proven track record of success, and an ability to look at and develop big picture strategy. This role requires a combination of sales, management, and strategic skills. Increasing levels of responsibility and independence are provided based on proven performance.
The role will be supported by a Business Development Representative, who will work within the Account Executive’s regional territory to engage with outbound prospects and marketing-generated leads. The Account Executive is responsible for continuing to build the client relationship, negotiating, and closing deals.
Your specific responsibilities will include …
Growing and maintaining relationships with new and current Higher Ed customers
Developing a strategic plan to manage your regional territory and consistently hit quarterly sales targets
Building a robust pipeline using both an inbound/outbound model
Being a credible resource by developing knowledge of ever-changing industry trends
Managing and coaching your Business Development Representative
Working with your Business Development Representative to manage the full sales cycle
Developing and mapping cross-sell and upsell opportunities
Maintaining accurate pipeline and activity data through Salesforce
Traveling to client and potential clients as needed
