Job Description

Position: We are in search of a dynamic, hard-working professional to partner with an Account Executive to target qualified prospects through unique outreach strategies. This role requires a combination of sales, project management, and support skills, and will be given increasing levels of responsibility and independence based on proven performance. The Business Development Representative will use an integrated approach leveraging modern demand generation methodologies and platforms (social media, email, phone, etc.) to build and nurture relationships within multiple segments of the education ecosystem.

This individual would be responsible for building, maintaining, and managing a healthy and robust top portion of the sales funnel, and growing into responsibilities that include managing accounts through the full sales funnel and closing opportunities. This is a developmental role with the opportunity for rapid advancement through successful achievement of performance objectives. The person in this role will work in the Alexandria, VA office.

Your specific responsibilities will include …

  • Create and execute successful social media, phone, and email campaigns targeting new prospects

  • Generate new, high-quality sales demos to be completed by account executives

  • Meet key monthly performance metrics and goals

  • Research and target customers within the education ecosystem

  • Use all available sales data to recognize trends and drive outreach decisions

  • Learn and demonstrate the Signal Vine platform to prospective customers

  • Gain proficiency in Salesforce, maintaining accurate pipeline data and reporting

  • Work with a close-knit team of talented sales experts who will challenge you and support you in your professional growth

  • Supporting any other business activities as needed including potential travel to meet potential customers

Qualifications

The ideal Business Development Representative candidate has …

  • A Bachelor’s degree

  • 1-3 years of sales or lead generation experience

  • Strong knowledge of G Suite

  • Social media knowledge and experience

  • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus

  • Strong internal motivation and a drive to succeed in a goal-driven position

  • A willingness to learn in a fast-paced sales environment

  • Excellent personal communication and writing skills

  • Superior time management and organization skills
