Our platform combines text messaging with data analytics to deliver a highly personalized and interactive experiences for students. Position: The Vice President of Marketing is a management level position that will lead the development and execution of Signal Vine’s marketing efforts. We seek a metrics-driven leader experienced in generating demand in a sales-driven, B2B software company. Primary responsibilities will include lead generation strategy, product marketing, brand ownership, market positioning and segmentation, customer personas, and team management. This position requires someone that leads by example and is a gifted communicator who can synthesize details into actionable plans. You will work closely with business development, customer success, engineering, and the Executive Team, and will report to the Chief Revenue Officer.
Your specific responsibilities will include …
Develop the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics, and resources necessary to achieve stated goals
Develop and execute lead generation across the sales cycle to increase lead velocity, qualify existing prospects, drive engagement, and increase pipeline
In collaboration with Product, Business Development, and Customer Success, lead product marketing efforts that optimally positions our products and services for new and existing customers while targeting clearly defined market segment(s) and buyers
Manage corporate identity, brand, and content across all channels
Collaborate with Business Development to optimize the sales pipeline and deliver sales enablement materials
Focus on metrics measurement, performance, and reporting by designing and implementing evaluation and learning systems that can analyze program performance and drive investment decisions
Manage four full-time and part-time marketing resources, and continue to build the team to meet the needs of the company's growth

The ideal candidate …
Has a university degree (BS/BA); MBA a plus
Has 7-12+ years of relevant B2B Marketing experience in a startup, software / SaaS environment; Experience in higher education a plus
Is a proven business thinker with solid strategic skills and capacity to understand the business from a market and P&L perspective using metrics as the basis for decision making
Has experience in a creative and customer driven market, with the ability to synthesize customer and market information into actionable plans
Has proficiency in a wide range of common marketing tools, including Salesforce, Marketo, Google AdWords, and Google Analytics
Has a proven track record of successful lead generation and funnel management; strong accountability for generating pipeline and not just leads; wants to impact overall revenue
Has experience in running a portfolio of quality lead generation programs. Experience should include: email and database marketing, content marketing, sponsorships, events
Has a high aptitude and understanding of technology
Has strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Has an ability to manage a team and work cross functionally with peer group of senior leadership in order to achieve goals
