Sign Solutions are delighted to have been awarded the Contact Scotland contract, which is due to go live December 2025.  

In preparation for the contract launch, we are seeking a Community Liaison to join our team and work closely with Sign Solutions and valued local organisations. This role is vital in helping us connect with and empower local communities by arranging and delivering Contact Scotland awareness events. The successful candidate will be based within Central Scotland and will play a key part in promoting the new Contact Scotland app and supporting the community

InterpretersLive!: Our cutting-edge video interpreting service, offers British Sign Language interpreters on demand, accessible via browser or app. This service ensures D/deaf employees can participate in meetings and the D/deaf community can access, products, service, work and healthcare equally.

Website Accessibility: Our InterpretersLive! service aids organisations in increasing their accessibility to D/deaf people via a link on their website, allowing BSL users to instantly call the organisation via an online BSL Interpreter , enhancing the accessibility rating of their site and enabling equal access to their products, services and information. 

  1. Translation Services: We ensure videos and written documents are accessible to D/deaf people by translating them into British Sign Language, to ensure they are accessible and understood. A cost-effective and efficient translation service, accessible via QR code or link

Job Description

How you'll make an impact. 

 

  • Contacting local Deaf clubs and charities as well as Government organisations to offer informative presentations 

  • Provide engaging presentations to both existing and potential users to encourage widespread adoption 

  • Empowering, upskilling and supporting the community in making the most of the app 

  • Facilitate feedback sessions to gather insights and suggestions that will help us continually improve the platform and better serve the community 

  • Collaboratively support Government agencies on accessing the app / on-demand service  

  • Professionally represent Sign Solutions at events, Deaf club presentations and support any other broader Deaf community activities 

  • Provide support and represent Sign Solutions at wider events in the UK  

  • Support the generation and analysis of management information reports to inform strategic decisions 

  • Report to Sales and Marketing Manager 

Qualifications

Experience you'll bring. Essential skills

 

• Enthusiastic, collaborative, passionate and flexible 

• Ability to communicate fluently in British Sign Language  

• Experience and understanding of working in the Deaf community 

• Full clean driving license and/or ability to travel to events 

• Strong presentation skills 

• Networking and community relations
