Company Description
We are looking for a Principal PLC/Automation Engineer who will lead the launch of a new project from the ground up. In this role, you will design and implement the automation architecture, develop PLC-based control systems, and integrate energy-efficient solutions.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional specialists, define technical requirements, select appropriate hardware and control strategies, and ensure reliable, sustainable system performance.
PROJECT
This is a new greenfield project, aimed at developing advanced water treatment technologies with optimized energy consumption. The solution will integrate solar and alternative energy sources to ensure sustainable and stable operation.
Job Description
- Design and program PLC-based automation systems
- Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces and monitoring tools
- Integrate sensors, pumps, VFDs, and instrumentation for water-cleaning processes
- Implement energy-optimized control strategies adapted to renewable power sources
- Create system documentation (FDS, control narratives, test plans, electrical diagrams)
- Lead FAT, on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and electrical standards
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical teams throughout the project
Qualifications
- 10+ years in industrial automation/PLC engineering
- Proven background in process automation (preferably water/wastewater)
- Hands-on experience with VFDs, industrial networks (Profinet, Modbus), and instrumentation
- Ability to design control architecture and lead full lifecycle from concept to commissioning
- Strong understanding of electrical principles, panel design, and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher
