Job Description
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced intelligence and crisis management specialist to join us in an embedded role for a global consulting client. In this role, you will assist both the intelligence analysis and crisis management fields, with duties split evenly between the two. You will use the latest industry tools and practices to identify, analyse, and advise on a range of adverse security conditions that could impact the client, whilst bringing superior organisation and communication skills to coordinate responses to crisis situations.
You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of security risk mitigation measures, incident response planning, and strategic decision-making for the client. You will engage directly with client stakeholders to interpret and refine intelligence needs, provide consulting support, and deliver written and verbal briefings to a senior audience.
This is a fully remote role, with occasional visits to the client’s offices in Central London and Egham as needed. The role operates Monday to Friday during core hours of 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, although a 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm schedule is preferred. The team undertakes occasional weekend monitoring on a rotational basis, and there may be occasional requirements to work outside regular hours for emergencies or time-sensitive matters.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Manage the production of regular intelligence briefs (daily, biweekly, monthly, annual forecast briefs) for the client’s Global Safety and Security (GSS) team and other internal stakeholders
- Monitor proprietary data sources, service providers, and open-source information to proactively generate security and geopolitical risk insights
- Draft threat and risk assessments for client events, travellers, and other internal operations as required
- Leverage intelligence monitoring to ensure that GSS and Crisis Management teams are kept aware of potential threats and crises
- Maintain crisis management plans and documents in the client’s mass notification system, including templates and checklists
- Assist with answering technical questions from stakeholders on travel security, intelligence, and crisis management resources and services
- Assemble content for biannual crisis team tabletops and workshops, while participating in team meetings
- Initiate incident management processes by coordinating meetings with internal stakeholders
- Support regional crisis teams during incident management by taking on scribe duties, conducting welfare checks, and parsing response data
- Conduct protective intelligence and due diligence investigations to support analysis on persons of interest (POIs), threats to client events and operations, and executive protection needs
- Be an effective member of a small team, focused on the delivery of lean, high-impact services
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deep knowledge and experience of geopolitical and security issues across the Americas, EMEA and APAC regions, with an understanding of crisis management, response, and health and safety procedures in corporate environments
- Advanced research, intelligence gathering, and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and inform on risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to commercial operations
- Experience managing the full production process for intelligence briefings, including travel security reports, situation reports, alerts, and geopolitical risk assessments, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences
- Ability to set out logical arguments clearly, adapting language and form to meet diverse audience needs, with comfort in public speaking and briefing senior stakeholders under pressure
- Confident working under pressure with the ability to maintain composure, attention to detail, and accuracy in crisis situations while managing competing priorities and urgent demands
- Ability to maintain the highest levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality while handling sensitive security and intelligence information
- High-level competency with MS Office tools and preferred experience with mass employee notification systems (Onsolve), additional experience with OSINT tooling preferred (Factal, Ontic)
- Preferred experience in protective intelligence, investigations, or due diligence work with the ability to work in both individual and team environments, an open mindset, willingness to learn new skills, and cross-functional global security team experience
