Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Incident Response Coordinator Specialist to join our embedded team supporting our clients GSOC. The candidate will monitor for major incidents, facilitate incident/crisis management team support, author stakeholder and employee messages and related products, and document response activities. The Specialist will ensure timely, high-quality delivery of services and products. They will be accountable to the Sr. Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager and have dotted line reporting to Incident Commanders as events require. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment. This position is on site Monday - Friday 10AM - 6PM.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and distribute stakeholder notifications
- Triage and manage security incidents and events that cause business disruptions
- Work with the Operations Manager to identify process and quality improvements
- Represent the GSOC in incident response meetings with stakeholders
- Facilitate “tabletop” and drill exercises while on shift for continuous training
- Receive information from outgoing shifts to identify ongoing events and open action items to ensure effective transition personnel supporting emergency incidents and events
- Create effective oncoming shift briefings, allocate tasks and assignments, and drive completion of pending products
- Develop and implement preparedness and recovery training
- Provide back-up support and on-call functions, as needed
- Assess service statistics and prepare detailed reports on findings
- Collaborate with internal and external teams partners to propose, develop, and implement solutions to customer and operational challenges
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of overall work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Experience conducting research and analysis
- Ability to multitask in a fast paced, at times stressed work environment
- Comfortable with a high-tech work environment and willing to learn new tools and innovations
- Willingness to work outside of the "standard" workday to interface with team members on other shifts and/or in other time zones
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of experience as a leader (supervisory)
- Lean/Six Sigma experience
- Experience in emergency management including preparedness and response
- Experience developing and leading large-scale preparedness exercises
- Experience in or demonstrated ability to lead people/teams without formal responsibility and interacting and building rapport with teams of all levels
Additional Information
Successful candidates will be invited to complete a writing assessment test to writing skills. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a final panel interview with presentation. In the current environment, our interviews will be conducted virtually.
The remuneration for this role is negotiable for the right candidate, dependent on qualifications, aptitude and experience. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year.
