Job Description

We require a Senior Consultant, with a successful track record of analysis and design, to join our team working with clients providing high impact, well grounded, independent and trusted advice.

Our work encompasses all aspects of business change covering people, process and technology and our consultants are expected to be comfortable working in all domains. The successful candidate should have ambition to grow their analysis and design skills and to develop both their own, wider teams, and practice capability. 

As a senior consultant specialising in advisory, the role involves:

  • Working with business users and operational teams to understand root cause problems
  • Undertake market, competitor and technology research to support growth plans
  • Analyse, interrogate and synthesize information to generate insight and action plans
  •  Ability to use data, or lean principles to illustrate waste or breakdowns in process
  •  Assess, structure, plan and deliver well-grounded recommendations
  •  Creative, innovative with a commitment to professional and client service excellence
  •  Demonstrate deep expertise and an ability to generate insights in their specialist sector
  • Able to lead streams of work and small engagements with limited support
  • Customer Service and impeccable customer interactions
  • Leadership in terms of building Pathfinder brand and reputation
  • Personal Growth and Development (both personal and team development)
  •  Administration for themselves and their teams (timesheets, invoices and expense management)
  • Ability to work with users to prove concepts and pilot new process
  • Ability to work with users to mobilise new technology
  • Workshop facilitation

Qualifications

To be successful in the role we expect the candidate to have

  •  A third level degree in a business, computing, science or engineering domain.
  • 5+ years’ prior consulting or relevant industry experience in one or more of the following industries: Financial Services, Energy, Agri, Retail and Utilities.
  • At least 3 years of this experience should be as a consultant, either working with clients or as part of an internal consulting or business support team
  • Candidates should have functional experiences and know how in at least 3 of the following: growth & innovation, operating model redesign, business strategy, performance improvement / business transformation, operational excellence, digital transformation
  • Good working knowledge of generally used design, requirements and process mapping methodologies; experience of both traditional and agile approaches would be a bonus
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills with strong stakeholder management
  • Demonstrate deep expertise and an ability to generate insights in a chosen sector
  • Deadline-driven, organized and able to multitask
  •  A robust analytical skill set, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity
  • A solid team player who’s also an independent thinker
  • Certification in design or analysis techniques is desirable but not essential
  • A track record of other continuous career development or accreditations
