Job Description

Sia Partners' Energy and Utilities practice operates in France, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and North America, and is comprised of over 300 consultants, generating over 75m EUR of global revenue.

In the UK, Sia Partners Energy & Utilities practice work with regulators, suppliers and infrastructure funds on a variety of projects. We have experienced strong growth in recent years and are now seeking an Associate Partner to work alongside the existing senior team. 

Our expertise includes regulatory strategy, customer and stakeholder engagement, economic and policy analysis, customer service improvement and social value analysis/modelling. We also have an established and growing data science capability, particularly relating to electricity network load forecasting and AI event prediction.

The water sector is a growing area of our utilities practice. Already well established with projects for Ofwat and several water utilities we have numerous growth opportunities and are seeking to expand this part of our business, particularly in regulatory strategy and our new data science offering.

We are seeking an Associate Partner with specialisation and experience in the water industry who can complement our existing areas of expertise and client base and also expand our service offerings. This is not a position for a management consulting generalist- specific and extensive water sector knowledge and experience is required.

As an Associate Partner, you will:

  • Drive leads, generate sales and grow the water sector for the Energy & Utilities practice;
  • Lead the development, marketing and deployment of proprietary intellectual property;
  • Work in a Partnership environment and influence the direction of the business;
  • Build effective relationships, manage people, and accomplish challenging goals;
  • Succeed in developing business in the UK, Europe and, if possible, the US;
  • Cultivate a strong associate network - identifying and engaging appropriate deep technical domain expertise as needed to meet specific project requirements;
  • Manage all stages of the consulting cycle: assessment, design and implementation.

Qualifications

We are looking for:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in management consulting with a focus on water. Energy and utilities experience is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Recognised expert in any of:
    • Water economic regulation
    • Waste management improvement
    • Water industry data solutions
    • Metering
    • Innovation and transformation in the water sector.
  • Strong network of contacts across the industry including with the regulator Ofwat.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with multiple clients at the same time.
  • Ability to generate new sales in the range of £1-£1.5m + p.a.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a growth environment and the ability to work across multiple geographies.
  • Strong client relationship and people management skills.
