Job Description

Description:

  • Lead a workstream that will implement a component of initiatives arising from recently published Basel Committee final FRTB rules
  • Drive a complete redesign (Front to Back) of the infrastructure for calculating Market Risk
  • This resource will contribute to design and QA of  the toolset being developed to deliver on Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) requirement and improve how trades are valued and consistently revalued.

Required skills:

  • Excellent understanding of, and demonstrable knowledge of market risk management practices, processes and models, together with the full markets trade lifecycle across pricing, trading and risk management plus back office and control functions and associated infrastructure.
  • Independent thought leadership and organizational awareness to deliver flexible and sustainable change management solution in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of (required of project manager / preferred for business analyst):
    • In depth detailed analysis of legal and regulatory material and subsequent business process impact/gap analysis
    • Successful delivery of change requiring significant/senior stakeholder engagement and coordination
    • Technology development skills, in particular practical knowledge of the challenges faced by large end to end programs with multiple IT hand offs and the associated need for high quality data transmission.

Preferred skillset for project manager

  • Demonstrate extensive expertise in:
    • Communication, Interpersonal and  organizational skills to mobilize and motivate delivery
    • Management and facilitation  to achieve objectives, with both local, remote teams relying on a heavily matrix structure
    • Significant attention to detail with an ability to contribute effectively to formative  strategic development where necessary
    • A practical and goal orientated focus with excellent verbal and written communication skills utilizing different media, to effectively communicate with senior management, clients and regulators

Qualifications

Required

  • Project managers: 7+ years experience
  • Undergraduate and/or advanced degree from a top academic university (MBA, JD, PhD or equivalent)
  • 7 -10 years of prior professional experience as a leader in management consulting, financial services, or other relevant work setting with an emphasis on strategic thinking
  • Strong knowledge of the financial services industry, depth in a specific domain is preferred
  • Ability to manage client relationships and networks, present to senior audiences, and work day-to-day with senior and mid-level clients
  • Ability to multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
