Sia Partners is searching for consulting talents to help deliver superb services to our client finance functions. Successful candidates are those who are able to help our clients review, control and transform finance functions.

The range of attributes related to finance and accounting ideally include:

·        Knowledgeable about accounting principles and practices. Experience working with accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks)

·         Familiar with banking and /or broker dealer activities / products,

·         Has analyzed processes and the flow of transactions and ultimate capture in general ledgers and ultimately financial statements,

·         An understanding of controls required to help ensure accuracy of financial information,

·         Has knowledge of valuation / pricing practices of assets and liabilities

·         Recognizes ways to enhance finance systems and processes

·         Able to write comprehensive finance policies and procedures

·         Knowledge of regulatory reporting

·         Understands enterprise risk and a Finance function’s role in mitigating risk

·         Can help transform process and procedures to better end states

·         Level & title is determined on experience

Travel:  Client are mostly Financial Institutions based in NYC or Jersey City. Limited travel required - If interested in travel and opportunities one can express interest in travel.

Personal performance attributes and credentials include:

·         Certified Public Accountant

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred)

·         4+ years’ experience, ideally in public accounting with financial services focus, and / or experience working in accounting / finance for a financial services entity

·         Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to clients (whether internal or external)

·         Able to work in a fast-paced environment

·         High attention to detail and accuracy

·         High overall work performance standards

·         An impressive level of ambition and drive

·         Assumes full responsibility for tasks and project work

Location

Travel

• Limited to no travel.
• Projects are mostly based in NYC, JC and CT.
