We are building a new sales team in China to help us drive our enterprise product Shopify Plus. Our Sales Representatives will work directly with brands in the region to understand and develop their commerce strategies and advise on how Shopify can help them meet their goals.

This is a remote position, and the hire needs to be based in mainland China.

Job Description

This is a quota-carrying, hunter role where you’ll be working on things like:

  • Generating Pipeline and closing Net new logos for Shopify  

  • Understanding our customers unique business goals, needs, and challenges, helping them to grow their businesses with Shopify Solutions

  • Creating a Point of View and Value proposition 

  • Effectively moving your deals through the sales cycle to close

  • Collaborating on projects within the team and with other Shopify teams to deliver the highest level of the merchant experience

  • Work with multiple stakeholders in the business to deliver results (Marketing, Partnerships, Solution Engineers, Merchant Success)


You’ll need to have:

  • Native in Mandarin with high English proficiency 

  • 8+ years of experience selling SAAS & Cloud Software solutions in China

  • Knowledge of E-commerce

  • Experience working with SAAS Partners

  • Managing a complex deal cycle 

  • Experience in Value Selling 

  • High energy and a strong work ethic drive the teams and individual goals

  • Experience in working with global teams

  • The ability to work in a self-directed manner, navigating through a fast-paced and ambiguous environment

  • Excellent relationship, conversation, and influence skills

  • Product knowledge and desire to become a Shopify expert for China
