Job Description

The Experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for providing strategic HR support and guidance to the technology and product teams at Shipsy. This role will involve partnering closely with department leaders to drive HR initiatives, foster a positive work culture, and ensure alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR with a focus on technology-driven organizations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for driving organizational success through effective people management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Partnership:

    • Collaborate with technology, product, and marketing leaders to understand departmental goals and objectives, and develop HR strategies to support their achievement.

    • Drive 1 on 1 check ins internally

    • Provide expert HR advice and guidance on organizational design, talent management, employee engagement, and performance optimization.

    • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and performance improvement  to enhance departmental effectiveness and employee experience.

  • Talent Acquisition and Management:

    • Partner with the Recruitment team and hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract top talent.

    • Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration of new hires into their respective teams and the organization.

  • Employee Relations and Engagement:

    • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, career development, and conflict resolution.

    • Conduct regular check-ins with team members to gather feedback, address concerns, and promote a positive work environment.

    • Be involved with the organizing committee for  employee engagement, team-building activities, and recognition programs to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  • HR Policy and Compliance:

    • Interpret and enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, processes, and best practices.

    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in HR, and recommend updates to policies and practices as needed.

  • HR Analytics and Reporting:

    • Utilize HRIS and other systems to gather and analyze HR data, identify trends, and generate insights to support data-driven decision-making.

Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations for action.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification preferred.

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on supporting technology-driven organizations.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing business outcomes through effective HR strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software tools.
