Shipsy's SaaS-based platform helps businesses manage all aspects of international trade - working with vendors to procure rates for shipping, having a digital workflow management platform to complete all documentation related activities, integrations with global shipping lines to bring about an end to end visibility, and reducing invoicing errors through smart AI-based reconciliation. ~10% of India's global trade through its platform, thereby helping 5 of the top 10 exporters and importers reduce costs and get end-to-end shipment visibility. With roots growing in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, Shipsy is quickly becoming the de-facto platform to manage international trade.

Shipsy has recently raised investment from Sequoia Capital's Surge and Info Edge (~$8m, till date).

Our team is comprised of excellent individuals from top institutes across the country like IITs, IIITs, NITs with experience in Big Data, Software Architecture, ML, AI, Robotics, Blockchain. In combination, we have previously worked at Samsung Korea, MIT Media Labs, CMU Robotics, Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Samsung Research, GE Research, Qualcomm Research, etc., and have also been entrepreneurs. We have numerous research publications and patents. The core team has computer scientists, electrical engineers from IIT Delhi and Madras, and this core tech focus would contribute tremendously to your learning.

Job Description

Location: Gurugram/ Bengaluru/ Mumbai (Remote-first organization)

As a Director Presales, you will work closely across various verticals such as product development, sales and marketing, and customer relations. Your job will include managing the pre-sales team which understands the customer’s needs and pitching the company’s products as suitable solutions.  You will also be required to actively observe customer behavior and predict future needs for product development

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Manage and guide the pre sales team to developing solutions and organizing, planning, creating & delivering compelling proof of concept demonstrations
  • Ensuring solutions stated in the Statement of Work are best practice and in line with client requirements
  • Guiding the team and managing the sales bid process by responding to RFI’s & RFP’s
  • Working closely with Sales to ensure successful closure of the sales process
  • Liaising with Product Managers to provide feedback from clients about product requirements
  • Keeping abreast of market trends and products & competitor landscapes
  • Developing project plans, goals, and budgets; identifying resources needed
  • Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion


What we are looking for:

  • You have 12-15 years of relevant experience
  • You possess a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • You possess strong problem solving and prioritization skills
  • You have strong presentation skills
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders
  • You should be open to travelling when needed
