Our product is composed of a mission critical SaaS web platform (API everywhere), with high traffic inbound/outbound integrations. Our mission is to anticipate problems and proactively alert end-customers so they can efficiently manage exceptions. We achieve this by collecting and matching millions of theoretical and real data from different stakeholders.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to work on a specific product used by some of Shippeo’s key clients.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, your work will focus on improving our mission critical product by developing new features, analysing and solving production issues, providing assistance to key users with your technical expertise of the solution, and helping in improving our technical architecture and our observability.

What you will do :

• Design and maintain server-side application logic using PL/SQL

• Write qualitative, readable and tested code

• Design and optimize applications for high performance, high availability and high scalability

• Ensure optimal performances of the requests to the databases

• Handle escalated tickets and exchange directly with the customer key users to provide answers using your technical expertise

• Work independently to troubleshoot, document, and resolve technical issues reported by clients

• Display strong verbal and written communication skills

• Maintain a never-say-die attitude and resourcefulness when it comes to solving problems

Qualifications

We are looking for a developer with a good knowledge of the technologies we use, but what matters most is that:

Your Profile :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology

• Experience of minimum 3 years in Software Engineering in a highly paced environment

• Must have experience in developing server-side application logic using PL/SQL

• Must have experience with Oracle Database

• Must have experience in managing on-premise architecture

• Experience in Oracle APEX is a strong plus

• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, ElasticSearch

• You develop pragmatic solutions without overengineering, and choose simple, straightforward solutions over more complex ones

• You align your work with the company's business objectives and seek to deliver business value

• You have a strong emphasis on developing solutions that are production ready with a mindset oriented towards you build it, you run it
