We are looking for a Product Manager in the hospitality technology space who helps shape the tools hotels rely on to run their operations and serve guests effectively. The role sits at the sometimes very complex crossroads of customer needs, market realities, and product delivery. The Product Manager must turn industry knowledge into a clear vision and practical plans for development. With a solid understanding of hotel workflows and strong analytical and communication skills, the Product Manager ensures that product decisions create real value, support large‑scale deployments, and move the organization’s strategy forward.
Job Description
Product planning & prioritization:
- Utilize industry experience and knowledge to shape Daylight PMS. Participate in peer review sessions for team control and quality assurance for new features. Contribute to strategic conversations, adding perspective and vision for growing our product in the right way.
- Display knowledge on PMS Complexity, Multi-Property & Enterprise hospitality environments, and Global vs Regional Requirements.
- Create and maintain defined initiative backlog of features for area of ownership in Daylight PMS. Responsible for defining priority and order of feature development for product. Maintain overview of feature delivery including progress, dependencies and delivery dates.
- Identifies, owns and resolves very complex problems in a way that demonstrates balanced judgment. Take on cross module ownership for features as needed to cover gaps.
Stakeholder management & communication:
- Lead theoretical and conceptual workshops, discussions and dialogue; and to provide business and practical context that enables both decision and design conclusions to customers and executive management alike.
- Execute professional presentations for product direction or specific feature functionality. Assist product and market expertise for events such as conferences, tradeshows, webinars, and seminars.
- Lead and collaborate with colleagues in other areas of organization to facilitate efficient working environment and remove any roadblocks. Excel in verbal and written communication and clarity.
Other responsibilities:
- Dotted line responsibility for Product Owners in module areas- first Point of Contact to resolve issues. Guide and support PO for optimal sprint review presentation skills, providing feedback and suggestions as needed.
- Travel domestically and internationally to Shiji offices and Shiji customers for collaboration and presentation.
Qualifications
- 5+ years relevant experience in hospitality industry with exposure to product development/ implementation/ business analysis experience.
- Expertise in hotel management systems products, technology and industry preferred. Knowledge of the state of the hospitality technology market, solutions, industry, competition and environment in the assigned region.
- Decision making ability which balances Shiji strategic vision, industry demands, customer requests, against resource capacity.
- Outstanding communication skills. Expresses and articulates key elements of ideas or concepts (both written and verbal) in a logical, descriptive, and comprehensible manner. Anticipates reactions and responds appropriately.
- Independent sense of drive and ownership, with strong tenacity to identify challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Ability to participate in multiple activities simultaneously and manage a wide variety of tasks with priorities and goals.
