Job Description

Job Summary:

The QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring that our Point of Sale (POS) and Payment Management System (PMS) applications meet the highest standards of quality by conducting testing, identifying defects and issues, and working closely with the development team to ensure that all issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.  In this role, you will also create comprehensive test plans, test cases and reports, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

  • Reviews design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the software product.
  • Identifies appropriate parameters, functions, and methods to test and validate.
  • Conducts testing to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines.
  • Identifies, logs, and recreates error codes, bugs, and defects.
  • Performs sanity and full regression testing of POS and PMS applications, while adhering to QA policies, processes, and documentation standards.
  • Conducts testing on new code to ensure that it meets functional requirements, technical specifications, and is compliant with PCI standards, while ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Develops comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test reports, raising bug tickets for issues found during testing.
  • Conducts root cause analysis of issues, working closely with the development teams to ensure that any issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Reviews third-party specifications, completes external certifications with payment processors, ensuring that all requirements are met.
  • Participates in Agile Scrum environment, supporting business strategy.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Maintains clear and concise communication with all stakeholders.
  • Adheres to standardized QA policies, processes, and documentation standards.

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Minimum three (3) years of software testing experience.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in QA methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and versatile in learning new software systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and other cross-functional team members.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of certification processes and test tools.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to commute to the office as necessary, minimum two (2) days a week. 
  • Must be located in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. 
  • Reasonable degree of flexibility to provide support to team members across different time zones (US, Europe, and Asia) when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications/Nice to Have:

  • Strong background knowledge in payments highly preferred.
  • Experience with payment processor certifications and standards.
  • Proficiency in creating automated test scripts.
