To support our ReviewPro and MyCheck teams, we're looking for a seasoned technical leader to continue and expand the level of excellence of our engineering and quality teams. You will work closely with our product teams to help grow and develop solutions that have made Shiji the world leader in Guest Intelligence Solutions.  

You will manage a team of over 60 engineers located globally who are responsible for the following areas:

• Platform and Infrastructure
• Data and AI
• Data Acquisition and Integrations
• Stay Solutions
• Dine Solutions
• Payment Solutions

The role requires a leader who can manage both from the outside and inside. 

When leading from the outside, you will be working with other management teams to help define the company's technical strategy and provide the organization with necessary technical insights to help define the overall company strategy. You will also be responsible for determining, monitoring, and tracking those KPIs that align with the company's goals and vision. Furthermore, you will be in charge of growing the various engineering teams and managing and defining budgets. 

When managing from the inside, you will track critical projects and work with teams to solve and prevent crucial issues. You will mentor your team leaders and ensure that they focus on product delivery and their teams' overall health and professional happiness. You will work closely with your teams as part of a continuous improvement loop to enhance the engineering and quality processes. Although no one will expect you to code, you should have technical curiosity and a wealth of experience to help guide various teams in preventing faults or improving their designs.

You lead by example, relying on your robust technical background to be part of the conversation when technical challenges arise while respecting your team members' expertise in their given areas. You are opinionated but listen more than you speak. 

• Understand and deliver C-level reporting
• Experience managing budgets and contributing to business plans 
• You must have a solid technical background that not only allows you to understand the difference between the NodeJS event loop vs. Java/C# threads or a VM vs. a container but also allows you to see something that is O(1) compared to O(n)
• Have at least 15 years of experience in web and or mobile software development.  
• At least five years of experience managing software development over multiple teams.
• You should have professional experience in working with systems automation and container-based environments.  
• Have worked extensively using SCRUM
