We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to improve the adoption and usage of the company’s distribution, data and business intelligence products and services while providing technical connectivity guidance to internal customers and external customers in an environment where every staff member is passionate about going the extra mile.

Job Description

  • Ability to represent Shiji with developing, growing & maturing the Shiji Distribution business at customer meetings and internal product strategy sessions
  • Ability to interpret / overlay messaging business requirements over Shiji or customer APIs including legacy connectivity or XML either custom, Open Travel, or HTNG
  • Ability to support Strategic Account Management with pre-sales discussions including connectivity, operations, services, static content including visual content
  • Lead initial technical certification with new customers for Shiji including follow-on certifications for enhancements to existing connections
  • Ability to design solutions and produce requirement documents for SDS developers
  • Ability to provide Level II support for escalated customer issues, document troubleshooting and resolution procedures for those escalations, and close out with Level I
  • Support all facets of the distribution business with internal teams including training support teams, training implementation teams & managing technical documentation for dynamic and static content products.

Interaction:  This position has daily interactions with product management, software development, hotels & global distribution providers (customers), other team members and various critical departments within the organization. In many cases, interactions with both internal and external parties will be at mid and upper management levels.

Qualifications

  • Mandatory 5 years product management experience working in hotel company, travel website, technology service provider or GDS connectivity
  • Understanding of API logic and experience with XML or JSON interfaces
  • Experience managing multiple connectivity projects from kickoff to certification
  • Fast learner, meticulous and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office application
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies, products and procedures
  • Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment.
  • Professional “get it done” attitude and work ethic.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Effective presentation skills
